South Hills Church Community

The disciples got to walk, talk, and be with Jesus.  Let that sink in for a moment.  Are you jealous?  Think about the prophets; they actually got to hear the audible voice of God. 

Did we get the short end of the stick?  What about the Holy Spirit, described in John 16 as the one who 'guides us into all truth'?  Do we have any useful concept of the Holy Spirit's power?  This week we will examine together the unrivaled power that lives in everyone who believes in Jesus Christ.

From the week of Sunday July 5th to July 12th, Club Christ Ministries will be taking 9 inner city teenage students to serve on a mission trip in downtown L.A.  The students who are going have been a part of Club Christ's leadership development program in their North Las Vegas Center.  These students will have the opportunity to learn how to meet the deep physical and material needs of the people they serve there. 

Hey, Parents, plan a date night while we take care of the kids!  Drop your kids off at church on Thursday, July 9th at 6:00pm and we will feed them (hot dogs, drinks, and snacks) and show a fun movie.  $5/child.  Please let us know how many kids you'll be dropping off by contacting Mary.  

Food, Fellowship & A Fresh Word for the women of South Hills.  Join us Saturday, July 11th at 10am at the church.  Bring a dish to share and we will enjoy a delicious brunch.  Mary Watanabe is our guest speaker.  This is a great opportunity to get to know some of the wonderful women who attend and volunteer at South HIlls church.  Invite your friends and neighbors.  Please RSVP to Mary.
