Why is the cross so important?

Who really killed Jesus?

    Acts 2:23 and 4:27-28

What happened at the cross?

    1) Christ ___________________________ the wrath of God.
    Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a
curse for us—for it is written,
“Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree.”

    2) Christ became ____________ for us so that we might become righteous.
“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
