Consider the following:

If the 12 disciples had each told one person about Christ, then stopped…

      And if those 12 people would have each told one person about Christ and then stopped…

And so on, each hearer telling only one person, within one month of hearing the Gospel…

By the end of one year, 144 people would have heard about Christ

If the 12 disciples had each told one person about Christ every month…

      And if those people each told one person about Christ every month…

            And so on, each hearer continuing to spread the Gospel…

By the end of one year, 936 people would have heard about Christ

But if each of the 12 disciples had told 12 people about Christ every month…

      And those 12 people told 12 people every month…

            And so on……

By the end of the sixth month, the entire world population, estimated at the time to be between 200 and 300 million, would have heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

 

Maybe you consider telling 12 people every month about Christ an unrealistic goal.  How about telling 3 people in one year?  That sounds reasonable, doesn’t it?

We have approximately 500 regular attendees.  If each of us committed to telling 3 people about Christ each year, and if those 3 people would tell 3 people and so on, in 6 years we would reach over 2 million people – that’s nearly the entire population of Clark County!  And by the end of the 7^th year, more than 8 million people would have heard about Jesus Christ.

If each of us could lead just one person to the Lord each year, help that person find salvation and strength in Jesus and if we encouraged each new Christian to bring someone else to Christ each year and continued that pattern, we’d see our goal of 20,000 people met in less than 6 years.  In 8 years, we’d have more than 125,000 and in just 12 years, we’d see over 2 million believers – we could help deliver Las Vegas to heaven!!
